Whole-house rewiring, or targeted replacement of the worst circuits where a full rewire is not warranted yet.
Circuit design for how you live now
Homes wired decades ago have too few circuits for modern kitchens, home offices, air conditioning and EV charging. We redesign the circuit layout rather than replicate the old one.
New switchboard as part of the works
A rewire almost always includes a modern board with full RCD protection, since new cabling into an old fuse board leaves the risk in place.
Renovation rough-in and fit-off
We coordinate with your builder around sheeting and fit-off, so cabling is in before walls close and fittings go on at the right stage.
Staged works to keep the house livable
Where you are staying in the home, we stage the work so you are not without power for days at a time.
Certification on completion

How do I know if my house needs rewiring?▼
The strongest signs are the age and type of the cable insulation, an original fuse board, and repeated faults across different circuits. An inspection will tell you whether a full rewire is warranted or whether replacing the worst circuits and the board gets you most of the benefit.
Can we stay in the house during a rewire?▼
In most cases yes. We stage the work area by area so power is restored to the parts of the house you are living in each evening. We set out the expected outages when we quote.
Does a rewire include a new switchboard?▼
Almost always. Running new cabling back to an old fuse board leaves the biggest risk untouched, so a modern board with full RCD protection is normally part of the scope.
How much damage does rewiring cause to walls and ceilings?▼
Less than most people expect. We use existing cavities, roof and floor space wherever possible and agree any access points with you first, so patching is limited and predictable.
Can you work alongside our builder on a renovation?▼
Yes. We coordinate rough-in before sheeting and return for fit-off at the right stage, which is how we work on most Shire and St George renovations.
